Blizzard Dance Company – Terms & Conditions
1. Payments & Membership
• Class fees are calculated and divided over 12 months and charged on the 1st of each month (pro-rata).
• A £10 annual membership fee is taken on 1st January each year.
• Class fees must be paid before attending.
• Once a class is booked, no refunds will be made. If BDC cancels a class due to our own fault, a credit will be applied to a future class.
• Classes cancelled due to events outside of our control (e.g. severe weather, venue issues, emergencies) will not be refunded or credited.
2. Notice Period
• We require one month’s written notice (by email) if you wish to discontinue classes.
• After notice is given, one final fee payment is required.
• Payments will continue until notice is received and processed.
• Parents must inform us if their child is leaving BDC so ClassForKids payments can be cancelled. If we are not informed, payments will continue to be taken.
3. Attendance & Participation
• Pupils must attend classes weekly and arrive on time.
• Consistent lateness or absence may result in dancers not being able to participate in performances or shows.
• Please do not attend class if you are unwell.
• If a dancer is leaving early, travelling home alone, or being collected by someone else, please notify us in advance.
4. Drop-Off, Pick-Up & Venue Rules
• Parents/guardians must drop off outside the church with a staff member.
• Please arrive 5 minutes before your class.
• There is no waiting area for dancers or parents.
• Dancers should not arrive excessively early or stay late without prior arrangement.
5. Uniform & Personal Items
• Dancers must attend class in the correct BDC uniform, with dance shoes, baton (if applicable), water, and a small snack if attending multiple classes (uniform expected after one month).
• No nuts or items containing nuts are permitted.
• No toys, jewellery, or phones may be brought into class.
• BDC cannot accept responsibility for lost or damaged belongings.
6. Communication
• Please inform us in advance, where possible, if your child cannot attend, whether planned or due to illness.
• These Terms & Conditions must be agreed to by all parents/guardians and dancers before attending class.
7. Photography, Videography & Performances
• From time to time, BDC may take photos or videos during classes for internal use or to share privately with parents. We will always respect any requests for a child not to be included.
• Performances and shows may be professionally filmed and/or photographed. Participation in performances requires consent to filming and photography.
• Due to the nature of live performances, it is not possible to exclude individual dancers from photography or videography.
• While we take reasonable steps to monitor this, we cannot guarantee that audience members will not take photos or videos during performances.
• If a dancer is unable to be filmed or photographed for any reason, they are very welcome to continue attending classes.
